Support Our Mission: Transform Lives Through Puppets and Circus

From 2017 to 2020, we toured the world with nothing but a string puppet, 8 contact juggling balls, two top hats, and a dream. Over 30 months, we performed more than 200 shows of a 10-minute piece, sharing laughter and magic in 14 countries across 4 continents. In addition to performing, we visited schools in Finland, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Bolivia, Peru Malaysia, Thailand, China and Vietnam. We also interviewed 35 teachers and 55 puppeteers to support our research. In each country, we worked with three types of schools (public, private, and charter schools) and engaged with students of all ages. Our approach included:

1. Observation: Immersing ourselves in classrooms to understand the students and their learning environment.
2. Intervention: Delivering lessons with puppets and circus, tailored to the topics students were exploring.
3. Gratitude: Sharing a performance as a heartfelt thank-you to each school community.

Over the past years, we’ve been crafting the draft of a multimedia book to reflect on this extraordinary experience and share the profound power of puppetry and circus in fostering communication and human connection. However, we need your help to bring this mission to completion.

What We Learned

During our journey, we witnessed firsthand the incredible impact of puppets and circus in education:

This multimedia book will serve as both a travel narrative and a practical resource for educators, featuring:

• Stories from our journey across seven countries.
• Videos, photos, and teacher interviews accessible through QR codes.
• Step-by-step guides to help educators create their own puppets and integrate them into the classroom.
